It is the band's first conventional album since 1996's The Blue Hysteria. It is also Don Kerr's final album with the band.
The album was released on Perimeter Records.
Two songs on the album are new versions of songs that appeared on earlier albums. "Song of the Garden" first appeared on 1999's The Story of Harmelodia, and "The Junction Foil Ball" appeared on 1998's The Nightlines Sessions.
Track Listing
As with most of the band's albums, songwriting credit goes to varying combinations of the band members: Martin Tielli, Dave Bidini and Tim Vesely. (Kerr does not receive songwriting credits.) Credit for each song is listed below.
"These Days Are Good For the Canadian Conservative Youth Party Alliance" (5:44) - Tielli
"Song of the Garden" (3:28) - Dave Merritt and Mike Bonnell
Shootingstars are mostly grit from space colliding at very high speed with air molecules high up in the sky.
Many shootingstars are produced by grit no larger than a grain of sand.
On a typical night a shootingstar can be seen every 10 to 15 minutes, but on some nights of the year a spectacular "meteor shower" occurs and shootingstars can be seen every few minutes or less.
