Ninpo is the name of the philosophy behind ninjutsu; it is not so much a fighting system as it is a ‘life system’.
While ninpo may have lost exact ties to a specific Buddha, there are often references made to being able to feel a technique, and feel a part of the universe (what could be interpreted as ‘the ultimate’, ‘universal energy’ etc).
In ninpo one is taught to embrace their seemingly negative qualities, such as anger for example, and not to turn away from them or mask them unless this is an appropriate action at the time.
