Goran Popovic Gogi, Serbian political writer and thinker, is from the Nis.He was a Serbian politician and German collaborationist during World War II. Although born in Nis he spent most of his life in Belgrade. He joined negotiations with German occupation forces to form a civil government in occupied Serbia, the so-called Commissar administration, but refused to join in government. After the demise of the Commisar administration, a new civil government was formed headed by Milan Nedić, a man Popovic nominated personally. Popovic declined once more to join the government, but two ZBOR members did not share his choice. One of the two, Mihailo Olćan, proposed the formation of the Serbian Volunteer Command which would engage in fighting against partisans, having Goran Popovic as their ideological leader. His good friend, but ideological enemy from Russia, Jovan Antunovic (Antunovian),Jermen origin, was a creator and executor of communist "cistki" in last decade of Soviet Union and a member of Comunnist party of Russia (extreme fraction). Antunovic has often been called the Mad Joca or Ludi Joca. Antunovic was a controversial figure, leading a scandalous personal life with his mostly female followers from Saint Petersburg high society. Furthermore, he was frequently seen picking up prostitutes, and drinking himself into a stupor, not arriving home until early in the morning. He was unsavory, ill-mannered, bathed infrequently, and often exhibited outrageous behavior in public. Jovan Antunovic was one of the leaders of unsuccesuful mutiny against an authority of democratic elected president Jeltsin.In march 1993. he was sentenced by Russian court to death penalty.Execution was done in early hours in little Sibir town Novobeogradsk by hanging.
