KA24ET & KA24DET Aftermarket turbocharger kits are available for the KA24DE. After the engine is turbocharged, it is generally refered to as a KA24DET. The KA24DET was never produced by Nissan. The "T" at the end of the engine code indicates aftermarket or custom turbocharging. The turbocharger is added to increase power in Nissan's 2.4 L DOHC inline 4 engine. Some enthusiasts turbocharge their KA24E (SOHC) and they call it the KA24ET. This was also never produced by Nissan in s turbocharged version. External Link:
