Nokia 2110 is a GSM phone, like all early digital mobile phones by Nokia. This is the phone that made Nokia a well known mobile phone manufacturer. Unlike current models, 2110 was built for several years. Over the years there came small improvement like the 2110i, but the basic model remained the same for several years and was well received by the public.
Recently Nokia 2110 has regained popularity as a retro statement.
Nokia claims that its market share managed to sneak up to 33 per cent from 31 per cent in Q2 2004.
Nokia had promised that at least a third of all of its handsets shipped in 2004 would be cameraphones but was forced to admit that the actual figure was only 25 per cent in Q3 2004.
Nokia has the opportunity to go back to the days of simplicity (and exceedingly long battery life) and give some of its 'classic' designs an update.
