Novelty is a village located in Knox County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 119.

Geography

Novelty is located at 40°0'44" North, 92°12'27" West (40.012209, -92.207594)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 119 people, 57 households, and 38 families residing in the village. The population density is 164.1/km² (430.2/mi²). There are 66 housing units at an average density of 91.0/km² (238.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 57 households out of which 15.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.1% are married couples living together, 3.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% are non-families. 29.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.09 and the average family size is 2.53.
