HISTORY OF THE 7th BOMB GROUP/WING (1667 words)
On 3 November, the 7th Bombardment Wing, Very Heavy, was established under the Hobson Plan and organized at Fort Worth AAF on 17 November 1947.
The 7th Bomb Group, already assigned, was the fourth group of the newly activated wing.
For the next decade, the 7th Bombardment Wing would record some of the most impressive and significant achievements in the annals of strategic bombardment and airpower while maintaining a deterrent force second to none in the world.
