Nozdormu placed an enchantment upon the Tree to ensure as long as the Tree lived, its protectors, the Night Elves, would never age or fall prey to sickness or disease. Several years later, Nozdormu noticed a discontinuity in space and time that threatened to tear the world apart. Forced to use all of his powers (along with the powers of all his previous selfs) to simply prevent the rip from growing, he called upon the red dragon Korialstrasz to investigate the discontinuity. Korialstrasz, in his customary guise of a High Elf wizard known as Krasus, and Rhonin were sent back in time to the era of the War of the Ancients when they were engulfed by the discontinuity (Nozdormu knew that the source of the discontinuity was somewhere in that era, and thus sent the two there). They soon discovered that the Old Gods, in an attempt to re-enter Azeroth, had discovered a way to usurp the Burning Legion's portal. The power of the Well of Eternity, which was central to the Old Gods' plan, was the source of the discontinuity. The destruction of the Well at the end of the war, however, foiled their plans and repaired space-time. Nozdormu then sent Krasus and Rhonin back to the present time in order to prevent further damage to the timeline. High Elves as seen in the World of Warcraft. ...
