Nugaal is one of the smallest regions (gobolka) of Somalia. It is in the north east of the country, and its capital is Garoowe. Nugaal is bordered by Ethiopia to the west, the Somalian regions of Sool to the west, Bari to the north and Mudug to the south, and the Indian Ocean to the east.
