Oana squealed, and cried and said “Yes!”, after which Dom romantically asked her to “Put it on, damn it!” (being on a Pier, Dom had visions of the ring being accidentally dropped into the water and was anxious to place it securely on Oana’s finger).
Oana later found out that Dom could not enjoy the early stages of the trip, as he had conveniently hidden the ring in the car where Oana would not find it, and was terrified that, along the way, the car would be stolen and his proposal plan ruined.
To compensate, Dom and Oana are taking the entire summer of 2006 off, getting married, and having a lengthy two-month honeymoon traveling through Europe (after which they promise to return, get real jobs, move off the UBC campus and grow-up already…or maybe just move off campus).
