Obihiro (帯広市; -shi) is a city located in Tokachi, Hokkaido, Japan.


As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 171,557 and the density of 277.18 persons per kmē. The total area is 618.94 kmē.


The city was founded on April 1, 1933.


The city is headquatered by the fifth division of the northern army of Japan Ground Self-Defense Forces.
