On October 1st and 2d many demolition and incendiary bomb hits were scored on the camp area and the seaplane hangar. During the night of October 3d-October 4th Navy and Marine Corps dive bombers attacked an enemy heavy cruiser and several destroyers which were engaged in landing troop reinforcements on Guadalcanal. On October 5th, Navy carrier-based aircraft from a task force under the operational control of Vice Admiral R. Ghormley, attacked the enemy ships while long-range bombers under the command of Gen. Douglas MacArthur coordinated in the attack plan with simultaneous raids on Japanese bases in nearby islands.

On October 8, 2004, MDCH issued an order immediately suspending LevinÂ’s registration pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professionalÂ’s license upon the conviction of a felony. The suspension is a result of audits of controlled substances that revealed significant shortages of OxyContin, Percocet and Percodan, and the Medicine ShoppeÂ’s failure to report to the DCH the loss of the controlled substances and required by the Public Health Code.
