Off By One is a free and small (1.2 MB) web browser for Microsoft Windows and is a completely self-contained, stand-alone application with no dependencies on any other browser or browser component, and full HTML 3.2 support. The Off By One web browser is also available as an ActiveX or DLL control for developers. Off By One uses the Webster Pro Control, a core Web Browser Object, and does not support JavaScript. However, Off By One does support tabbed browsing (much like browsers using the Mozilla core), animated images (can be turned off), cookies (can be turned off or set as session-only), SSL (can be turned off or set as "fake"), new windows (can be turned off), meta refresh, and more. Because of all the missing features (Javascript or Flash support), it is agreed to be a fast and secure web-browser. But most of all, its way of caching is quite different compared to that of other browsers - namely, it utilizes so-called "memory-resident caching". This means that all the information commonly cached in other web-browsers is kept only in the computer's memory untill Off By One's process is closed. Therefore no data are stored on the hard-disk for the next session.
