Out of the 7 linemen on the O-line there are 4 types. There is center, guard, tackle, and end. The center is the lineman that snaps the ball to the quarterback. The guard lines on either side of the center. The tackle lines up outside of the guard. The end can either be wide or tight. If the end is tight he will line up just outside of the tackle. If the end is wide he will line up closer to the sideline, like a wide reciever, but on the line of scrimmage.
