Oliver, played by Grant Rosenmeyer, attempts to sustain normality in an often unpredictable family. Oliver's father, Jerry (Grant Shaud) spends his days drilling teeth as a dentist, while his mother, (Wendy Makkena) attempts to play the traditional homemaker. Oliver's brother, Ted (Andrew Lawrence) is a sports nut and a womaniser. Oliver's life is often made more bearable with friends Neal (Ben Bookbinder), Michael (Taylor Emerson) and Joyce (Daveigh Chase).
