Omaha Benson High School is located at 5120 Maple Street in Omaha, Nebraska, in the heart of the historic Benson community. Benson High is rich in history and tradition being one of the oldest high schools in the state. Benson High will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2004. This high school presents one of the most outstanding educational facilities available anywhere in the country. A renovation of the total school that was completed in the mid-1990's provided a new science classroom wing, a state-of-the-art auditorium for the performing arts, a beautiful gymnasium, a spectacular student commons area and an all-weather track and football field with artificial turf. Today, Benson High enrolls 1,500 students who reflect a wondrous blend of races, cultures, nationalities, and economic and social backgrounds working and learning together.
