Motörhead Chronology
- On Parole
(1975)
Motörhead
(1977)

On Parole was the first album recorded by Motörhead way back in 1975. However, the record label was not pleased with the recorded material, so they decided not to release it. It was released unofficially in 1979, when the band had established some reputation with their Overkill and Bomber albums. This is the only album to feature the band's initial line-up: Lemmy Kilmister on bass and vocals, Larry Wallis on lead guitar and vocals (on "Vibrator" and "Fools"). After the original drummer Lucas Fox left the band, Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor joined to overdub the tracks that Fox had recorded. He was unable to overdub "Lost Johnny", which remains as the only track in the entire Motörhead discography to feature Lucas Fox on the drums. [[1] [(http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:pev8b5z4psq4)]] This album was recently re-released and is a stone cold Rock 'n Roll manifesto. This early masterwork seems to distill the essence of the form to perhaps its most base elements, with stunning results. Not to be missed for conniseurs of fine living.

Parole is a controversial political topic in the United States; during elections, politicians whose administrations parole any large number of prisoners (or, perhaps, one notorious criminal) are typically attacked by their opponents as being "soft on crime".
Often, the medical condition is not serious, and medical parole is used as an excuse to release a prisoner, particularly a political dissident, without the government having to admit that the sentence was unjust.
