orford is a place of violence, and unlawful behaviour i talk from experiense. one day i was visiting a friend and left my car out side his house 2mins later the car was gone. the following week i rode my bicycle and locked it to a tree, 1min later the bike and the tree were gone. i decided to take action and walked to my friends house armed with a bat, the only problem was they had 10 bats and one of the thuggs was carrying a knife and stabbed me in the throat then while i was on the floor he stamped on my head. the experience was horrific now i have to travel with an armed escort and bomb proof car through orford. my advice stay well clear no one is safe. My friend had his shoes stolen while they were on his feet.
Originally a small hamlet to the north of the township of Warrington, centred on Orford Green, "Orford" can now refer to a large area between the town centre and the M62 motorway.
Its most distinctive building, Orford Hall, was demolished in the 1930s, after the grounds were given to the town for a park.
