Orient is located at 39°48'18" North, 83°9'16" West (39.804906, -83.154567)1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²). 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 269 people, 95 households, and 72 families residing in the village. The population density is 865.5/km² (2,168.3/mi²). There are 102 housing units at an average density of 328.2/km² (822.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.88% White, 0.00% African American, 1.12% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 95 households out of which 44.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.7% are married couples living together, 13.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.2% are non-families. 18.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.83 and the average family size is 3.19.
