Background Oskar Saville began her career playing London venues with a local band called Seed. After playing in the London circuit for almost a year, Oskar became more enchanted with pursuing her singing career back in The U.S. and decided to return to her hometown of Chicago, where she earned her stripes as a musician the hard way, playing open mikes and teaching herself to play the guitar. In 1998, Oskar joined the Chicago-based band Rubygrass. Subsequently, they were named the best band in Chicago at the Guinness Fleadh music festival, which featured a lineup including artists such as Wilco, The Corrs, John Lee Hooker, and Sinéad O'Connor. Rubygrass went on to open up for concerts by groups such as The Corrs, Del Amitri, Collective Soul and 10,000 Maniacs. Guinness logo Guinness is Good for You - Irish language advertisement. ...
