Governor Oyinlola recently launched and laid the foundation for the grounbreaking of Osun State University with six campuses (Osogbo, Okuku, Ikire, Ejigbo, Ifetedo, and Ipetu-Ijesha) strategically located across the state. As enrollment begins in September of the current year 2007, Gov. Olagunsoye Oyinlola is making history as the first governor to promise, embark on, and successfully establish a state-owned university in the same year.

In the light of many astounding achievements recorded under the current administration in the state, an American-based non-governmental/non-political body (Organization for Socio-Economic Change in Africa - OSCA) has endorsed Oyinlola's team and administration for the second term in office. According to the organization's Public Relations Officer, Prince Samuel Olakunle Araoye, "this administration has done some much to positively impact the lives of the masses. Many critics and pessimists are now having change of opinions in an attempt to give kudos to the governance, ruling, and modus operandi of the incumbent." The organization further praised the government for including more women in its management team than any of its predecessors, and for the impact Her Excellency, Princess Omolola Oyinlola (The First Lady and Wife of the Executive Governor) is making on the lives of the physically-challenged and the children of Osun State via various WOCDIF programs (Women and Children Development Initiative Foundation).
