Overijse is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The municipality only comprises the town of Overijse proper. On January 1st, 2004 Overijse had a total population of 23,955 (11,686 males and 12,269 females). The total area is 44.43 km² which gives a population density of 539.13 inhabitants per km².
