The Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, founded in 1997, is an independent academy for the study of Hindu culture, religion, languages, literature, philosophy, history, arts and society. The Centre works closely with Oxford University. One of the main goals of the Centre is to broaden the influence of the Hindu community so that the Indian and Hindu communities will gain in their efforts to develop a progressive and influential relationship with British society and beyond.
