The objective of this study was to describe and evaluate the health education component of a community health program in Pacatuba, a municipality in the Brazilian state of Ceará.
The goal of the present study is (i) to evaluate the efficacy of the health education component of the program currently running in the Cearán municipality of Pacatuba and (ii) to provide suggestions for improving the program.
Another important effect of the lack of organization is that agents in Pacatuba are unable to take part in regular refresher courses, which would ordinarily be organized by the coordinator.
