When they arrived, the menace was revealed to be Broly himself. As soon as Broly saw Goku, his uncontrollable rage surged, and the Restraint Necklace was destroyed. Paragus' plan was for Goku and the others to remain on New Vegeta and fight Broly, until a giant comet called Comet Kumorle crashed into the planet, taking all of them with it, while Paragus escaped. But as he was entering his space pod, Broly discovered his plan, then destroyed Paragus by hurling him inside the crushed space pod right at the comet. Goku and the others continued to fight Broly, and were unable to match him until they channeled all of their energy into Goku, who used the energy in one last attack, which supposedly destroyed Broly.
