Parcent , population 1100, is a small village located in the Pop Valley of La Marina Alta , Alacant Province , region of Valencian Country , about one hour's drive north of the city of Alacant . It is characterized by the small but beautiful church surrounded by rolling hills and mountains. It is also close to Xaló, which is famous for its excellent wine production and markets.
