Parkland is a city in Broward County, Florida where zoning laws are designed to protect the "parklike" character of the city. The population was 13,835 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 20,556.[1] For many years from its inception, Parkland had no stores, instead relying on nearby Coral Springs for shopping.
