James Patrick Seerey (March 17, 1923 - April 28, 1986), best know as Pat Seerey, was a Major League Baseball outfielder and right-handed batter who played for the Cleveland Indians (1943-48) and Chicago White Sox (1948).


Seerey was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma. In his 561-game career he batted for .224, with 86 home runs and 261 runs batted in. Seerey led the league in strikeouts four times (1944-46, 1948), and he is one of 15 players in MLB history who hit four home runs in a single game (July 18, 1948).


Pat Seerey died in Jennings, Missouri at age of 63.

Seerey was a rare player who became well known at the major league level before he did anything important on the field.
Seerey's best year with Cleveland was 1946 when in 117 games and 404 at bats, he hit 26 home runs (at the time tied with Ken Keltner for the team record for right handed hitters) and drove in 62 runs.
