They performed as the opening act for Siouxsie and the Banshees, and it was during this time Morrison was contacted by Andrew Eldritch, asking her to join The Sisters of Mercy. She performed on the 1986 album Gift (released under the group name The Sisterhood - Eldritch did not perform on the album) and on The Sisters of Mercy's 1988 album Floodland but left in the early 90s due to (as ex-Sisters of Mercy members in The Mission stated) a claim that monies were not paid as due from Eldritch, something that insiders claim is quite typical of Eldritch.
