Personal life

Bergin was born in Dublin. He later took the name James at confirmation. Bergin stands about 6'4", and was formerly a mathematics teacher. In 1992, Bergin married Paula Frazier, a British woman of Afro-Caribbean descent. They were married in Carapichaima, Trinidad and Tobago. Bergen, as Patrick, possesses the innate seriousness needed for the role of such a determined man though it appears that even he is straining to keep a straight face through some of the more fantastical sequences.
