Patrick Dunleavy is a professor from the London School of Economics (LSE) in the fields of public policy and government. Dunleavy writes books or written reports in a range of subjects including British Politics, E-Government, the Labour ID cards Proposal and Public Policy and Public Policy Research. Dunleavy's central contributions have focused on the concepts of sectors and sectoral conflicts, rational choice theories of politics, the bureau-shaping model of bureaucracy, and the claimed contemporary public management paradigm of digital era governance.
