For a short while, Chris Lumens and others have assisted his work on Slackware. Unfortunately, due to lack of adequate funding (due to the sale of Walnut Creek to WindRiver software) these people had to be let go. For the last couple of years Patrick Volkerding manages the Slackware distribution with the help of many unpaid volunteers and testers, based all over the world.
