Paul Henry was born in 1960 in Auckland, New Zealand. In 1971 he moved with his mother to Bristol, England, where he finished his education, winning a drama school scholarship. It was in Britain that he first ventured into the media working for BBC Radio & Television and on ‘The World Around Us’ with Sir David Attenborough. When he came home he worked for National Radio and TVNZ in almost every position – producer, breakfast host, network newsreader and as a senior manager.


He has also worked in the corporate sector as a manager and in marketing.


Paul has also owned his own companies. He was in commercial investment, developed properties and set up his own successful commercial radio station.


In recent years he has returned to journalism and received considerable attention for his work as a foreign correspondent.


He has reported extensively on conflicts, famines, wars and world events.


Paul has also worked for a number of international aid agencies, including World Vision.


There would be few people who have worked in such diverse roles as Paul Henry.


On Monday, 23 April, 2007, he asked the most intimate question of a New Zealand Prime Minister ever asked, relating to her bladder strength. The said Prime Minister responded with decorum.


He and his 'wife' have three daughters. Mr Henry is currently dating a receptionist at RadioWorks, whom he meet while working on Radio Pacific.


Paul is TVNZ’s Breakfast Host from 7am – 9am on TV One and he hosts the Drive Show from 4pm – 6pm on RadioLIVE.


Outside of the long hours of work he says Paul enjoys spending time with his children, fishing and gardening.

Henry Paul (born 10 February 1974 in Tokoroa, New Zealand) is a rugby league footballer who plays stand-off for Harlequins Rugby league club and New Zealand.
Paul started playing rugby at the age of three with the Ponsonby club and later, during his time at Rutherford High (now Rutherford College, Auckland), he played union during the week and league at the weekends.
Although he was born in New Zealand, he qualified for England through his Liverpudlian grandfather.
