Paul Miki is a saint of the Roman Catholic Church. He was born in Japan in 1564 or 1565. He joined the Society of Jesus and was responsible for preaching the Christian gospel to many people in Japan. He was crucified together with twenty five other Catholics in the city of Nagasaki on February 5, 1597 after the banning of Christianity. In general, the term Saint refers to someone who is exceptionally virtuous and holy. ... Paul ìwas a Jesuit scholastic, one year away from ordination to the priesthood and only 27 years old, born in 1564 he died a martyr for his Faith in 1597.
