MARINA MOWATT, the daughter of Princess Alexandra and Sir Angus Ogilvy, has separated from her husband six years after a wedding that shocked the Royal Family and produced the first modern royal rebel.
In a statement released yesterday by solicitors, Mrs Mowatt, 29, and her photographer husband Paul, 32, said: "It is with great sadness that Marina and PaulMowatt today announced that they have separated, having been experiencing marital difficulties for some time.
Mrs Mowatt, who is 30th in line to the Throne, was five months pregnant when she married in 1990.
