The Pechora River is a major river in European Russia. It is 1,809 km long.


The river rises in the Ural Mountains east of Ust'Ilyich and flows north through Vuktyl', Pechora and Nar'yan-Mar before entering the Pechora Bay inlet of the Barents Sea at Nosovaya.

The river rises in the Ural Mountains east of Ust-Ilyich and flows north through Troitsko-Pechorsk, Vuktyl, Pechora and Naryan-Mar before entering the Pechora Bay inlet of the Barents Sea at Nosovaya.
Pechora is also the name of a city in Komi Republic, situated on the Pechora river, near the northern Ural Mountains.
