Overview

The show usually involves Peep, Chirp, and Quack (or some combination thereof) exploring their park. The show tries to teach the scientific method by example, using the three main characters who discover something and spend the rest of the show trying to understand it. After the 9-minute animated segment, there is a 2-minute live-action segment with children exploring and demonstrating the same idea as the animated segment. It is a very colorful show, using bright primary colors and simple shapes.

Peep (voiced by Scott Beaudin) is a very curious chick who lives in a can in the middle of the "big wide world". Chirp (Amanda Soha) is a young robin living on a nearby tree branch, who is trying to learn to fly. Quack (Jamie Watson), the oldest of the three, is a duck who is fairly possessive about his pond. Quack has a very high opinion of himself and ducks in general; Chirp occasionally finds this insufferable and becomes frustrated with Quack. Peep gets along quite well with everyone, but is easily distracted by falling leaves, flowers, new noises, etc.

There are many minor characters, such as Nellie the dog, Newton the turtle (who lives under an apple tree), and the bluejays. Theme Song

The show's theme song was written by Eggplant Music Design, and is performed by Taj Mahal.

These are the lyrics:

Well, it's a sunny day
I feel brand new
There's about a million things
That I could do!
Whoa-oh-oh
Would you like to
Do them, too?
Yeah
Well, it's a big wide world
And it's waiting for me and you!
Let's look around
What will we see?
Round every corner a discovery!
Whoa-oh-oh
There's no place I'd rather be!
Oh, yeah
Well, it's a big wide world
And it's waiting for me and you!
