| Perovskia (pronounced "per-OFF-skee-uh") is native to Central Asia (Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.) and Tibet at elevations to 8,000 ft. The sage reference probably comes from the characteristic sage aroma given off when the leaves are crushed. |
