Peter Dale Scott is a poet, antiwar activist, and professor emeritus, University of California, Berkley who wrote a tract entitled "The War Conspiracy", in which he alleges that certain of the American government and economy conspire to maintain the status quo by manipulating our armed forces in an effort to keep a steady supply of consumer goods. The Guerilla News Network posted a video documentary of Scott's work to the Internet Archive; the video appears to have been tampered with (at the 2m02s mark, the image becomes static and the sound is replaced with a high pitched whine, and, later, silence, for the remaining 2m15s. Other postings of the video show distinct differences between the soundtrack and the movement of Scott's lips.).
