Eriksson began coaching in 1983, and has served as a Paralympic National Team Coach in Canada since 1988.
Eriksson was a member of the Swedish Speedskating Team from 1972-1980 and competed in the World Championships in 1977 and 1979.
Erikssons new national team responsibilities include building a pool of track & field coaches, recruiting junior national, national and elite track & field athletes, establishing national training centers for Paralympic athletes, and leading the preparation of the U.S. Team for the 2008 Paralympic Games.
