Physical comedy is comedic performance relying mostly on the use of the body to convey humor.


Whether a pratfall (i.e. landing on the buttocks), a silly face or by walking into walls, physical comedy (even used to entertain small children) is very rarely subtle, but a clownesk exploitation of the most primordial medium: the biological basics even pre-date language, which introduces cerebral elements such as cultural tradition, erudition and word puns. The Shneedles, Fool Moon, Slava's Snow Show, and LaLaLuna are all examples of modern day physical comedy productions.
