Picton Harbour in the winter Picton is a town and the county seat of Prince Edward County in central Ontario, Canada. Picton is located at the end of Picton Bay which is a branch of the Bay of Quinte which is in turn part of Lake Ontario. The town was incorporated in 1837 and was amalgamated into the Corporation of the County of Prince Edward in 1998. Population (2001): 4,563.
