The Battle of Podul Inalt (near the town of Vaslui, was an decisive battle in the medieval history of Romania. It took place in the year 1475, 10 of december , between the moldavian army lead by Stefan cel Mare and the ottoman army lead by the great sultan Mehmet II.Having put in practice a scourched earth tactic, the moldavians atracted the ottoman army deep into Moldavia.
