Point Cook is another one of the big growth regions in Melbourne's Western Suburbs, urban sprawl coming form the north and the east. Aside form this, Point Cook is famous for it's RAAF Willams Base and it's coastal park with a famous homestead. It also contains a small township located where Aviation Road and Point Cook Road meet.
The RAAF Base
The RAAF base contains a museum for visitors, most of what is left are prohibited and restricted areas. The RAAF willams base contains a Horizon Tank, one of three in the world, it was used in the televisions series Moby Dick and Noah's Ark.

Brief History
Point Cook was originaally spelt differently, with an "e" on the end, Point Cook got it's name in 1836. In 1853 the Thomas Chirnside added the farmlands of Point Cook to his holdings. He built the famous Point Cook homestead of twenty-five rooms in 1857.
