Pokémon Gyms are large buildings throughout the Pokémon world that contain Gym Leaders and their deciples. Gym Leaders are some of the strongest Pokémon Trainers in the world, and defeating them will allow Trainers to get badges as proof. These badges show a Trainer's dedication to Pokémon training, and make high-level Pokémon more respectful. A certain number of badges, usually eight, also allows competition in the Pokémon League. Pokémon (Japanese: ポケモン Pokemon, pronounced Poh-Kay-Mon) is a video game franchise, created by Satoshi Tajiri and published by Nintendo for several of their systems, most importantly the Game Boy. ...
