Polk County is a county located in the state of Minnesota. As of 2000, the population is 31,369. Its county seat is Crookston6.
Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 5,174 km˛ (1,998 mi˛). 5,103 km˛ (1,970 mi˛) of it is land and 71 km˛ (27 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 1.37% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 94.18% White, 0.33% Black or African American, 1.30% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 2.57% from other races, and 1.30% from two or more races. 4.79% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
