Polypodium is a genus of parasitic cnidarians; the only genus in family Polypodiidae. Polypodium hydriforme is a parasite of the eggs of sturgeon and similar fishes (Acipenseridae and Polyodontidae). It is one of few cnidarians living inside the cells of other animals.
