Encyclopedia > Poplar DLR station

Poplar is a station on the Docklands Light Railway in Zone 2. It serves as a junction for the Beckton Branch: other trains go to Stratford. To the west the next station is Westferry, to the south is West India Quay, on the Stratford branch it is All Saints and to Beckton Blackwall.


It was opened on 21 August 1987.


There was a station of the same name on the London and Blackwall Railway between 8 July 1840 to 4 May 1926.
