Porfirio "Pepe" Lobo Sosa is a Honduran politician. He was born in Trujillo in 1947 but grew up on a ranch near Juticalpa, Department of Olancho. After attending a Catholic school in Juticalpa, he first furthered his studies in Tegucigalpa and then in a university in the United States. He became a Deputy in the Honduran National Congress in 1990. He was in charge of the Honduran Corporation for Forestry Development from 1990 to 1994. He is currently President of Congress. Lobo is the National Party of Honduras' candidate for the November 27, 2005 presidential election.
