Synopsis

Three teenagers (Shane, Tori, and Dustin), each have their own type of sports, are students of the Wind Ninja Academy. When they thought that they will never exceed in the ninja arts, they discovered that they were wrong.

An evil ninja master, Lothor, and his space minions arrived on Earth in his Dark Ship, and captured all of the students and destroyed the academy. The sensei, who was turned into a guinea pig, gave them morphers to become Wind Rangers. The sensei's son, Cam, created zords for them in extreme emergencies.

The rangers eventually meet other Rangers, the Thunder Rangers, who were tricked into siding with Lothor, fought them and almost destroyed. Blake and Hunter decided to join forces with the Rangers.

Cam had time traveled into the past and sought a power source that can help them in their battle against Lothor. In the past, he discovered that his father had a twin brother, and the twin brother was actually Lothor of the past. Gaining the power source, he became the Green Samurai Ranger.

In time, the Rangers gained new weapons, vehicles, and armor. Lothor had planned to eliminate all of his minions (including his nieces) in order to spread evil across the Earth. Luckily, the Rangers were able to stop him, and imprisoned him in the Abyss of Evil. Unfortunately, before being thrown in the abyss, Lothor had stolen the Rangers' powers.

Shane, Tori, and Dustin became teachers at the rebuilt Wind Ninja Academy. Blake continued his racing career and Hunter became head teacher. Cam was in charge of keeping a close watch over Lothor's nieces as they were students in the Academy.

Ninja Storm within Power Rangers Dino Thunder

A little while after the events at the end of Power Rangers Ninja Storm, the Ninja Storm rangers appeared in two episodes of Power Rangers Dino Thunder, entitled "Thunder Storm" (parts 1 and 2).

The former Rangers are settled into their new careers; Shane, Tori, Dustin and Cam train the students of the Wind Ninja Academy, Hunter trains those of the Thunder Ninja Academy. Blake goes to Reefside to compete in a motocross tournament, and bumps into Conner, Ethan and Kira on the way. They go to watch him compete, but are perplexed when he is suddenly called away after the race.

Elsewhere, Lothor claws his way out of the Abyss of Evil, and - posing as Sensei Watanabe, whom he has captured - brainwashes Shane, Tori and Dustin with evil power discs, and they join Lothor's side. They, and two new monsters, recapture the students of the Wind Ninja Academy, and beat back the three primary Dino Rangers. They re-recruit Marah and Kapri along the way, but the ditzy pair aren't really devoted to Lothor as they were before.

Mesogog sends Elsa to contact Lothor and the evil Ninja Rangers, and the two villains agree to an alliance. Meanwhile, Hunter, Blake and Cam enter the Abyss of Evil, and fight off Zurgane to rescue their lost powers. Sensei Watanabe, freed by Marah and Kapri, performs a last-minute save as the three dangle off a cliff.

As the Wind Ninja and Dino Thunder rangers duel unmorphed - both sides utilizing their unmorphed special powers - Hunter, Blake and Cam appear with the true Wind power discs, and pretend to be allied to Lothor to get the Wind Ninjas to use them, ridding them of Lothor's mind control. The two teams of Rangers - including Trent and Tommy - meet with Mesogog and Lothor's combined force, obliterating it and causing Elsa to flee.

Finally, Mesogog and Lothor duel for supremacy. They seem to be evenly matched - until Mesogog uses his mind powers to shrink Lothor to the size of an action figure - "Very collectible" - and trapping him a jar.

At the end it is discovered that when the Ninja Storm Ranger's Powers were extracted from the Abyss of Evil they only had enough energy for one last battle so the Dino Rangers and agree to carry on the fight of protecting the world for them and the Ninja Storm Rangers return back to their normal lives and both teams watch Blake win the Motorcross Tournament.
